Thankful Thursdays: Family

Family – it can mean so many things, can include so many people. Today, though, I am thankful for the part of my family that includes Mom and Dad, Emily Matt and Maggie.
They aren’t perfect and put us all together and we really aren’t perfect. But we all love each other and would do anything for each other.

We pick on each other, poke buttons, laugh at each other, support each other, encourage each other, yell at each other, laugh together, love each other, but heads, get annoyed, act crazy, ya know….all the normal {well sorta normal} things a family does.

I am thankful for my parents. Even in the tough times {and we have had our fair share} they have kept our family together. They just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary last week and they celebrated by doing what they love best, ministry and serving God. I am thankful for the positive and Godly example they lead and have encouraged us {their children} to follow in. I am thankful for all the blood sweat, tears and love they have poured into us and where God has lead them over the years. I have seen them step out on faith many times and God provide abundantly.

I am thankful for my sisters and brother. We have shared in many great adventures and struggles. I know that each of them would have my back at any second and I am so thankful for that. They aren’t afraid to tell me as it is and encourage me to be the best I can. It has been a blast growing up with them and even more fun as we all become adults. Each of us is different and it’s neat to see the different ways God works in their lives.
This is just a small part of who I consider family, but they all have been with me since the beginning and haven’t left my side yet. I am thankful to have them in my life and look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationships and having a ton more fun! I love you all and I am so thankful for you!
